December UPDATE- Jayson was discharged to healing home care. He is getting stronger every day and continues to delight his nannies with his big smile.
Customized Wheelchairs
September 2019-
Customized wheelchairs are making a huge impact to meet the individual needs of orphans. Not only are they valuable to the child, but also the caregivers. Hope's Heart is grateful for this opportunity to provide wheelchairs that improve daily life for five children.
November UPDATE- Ian
came through surgery without complications, has been discharged from the hospital, and continues his recovery under the loving care of his foster parents.
November 2019- All four children had successful repairs.
Four Cleft Surgeries
July 2019-
Changing a child's life and future brings with it satisfaction that can not be measured. This month four children received life changing surgeries... two cleft lip repairs and two cleft palate repairs. Join us in celebrating a brighter future for Rylan, Marley, Darien,
and Lucy.
August UPDATE-
All four children had successful surgeries and are on the way to recovery and a brighter future.
September UPDATE-
Daniel's foot is looking much better. He can now walk independently and his gait has improved!
March UPDATE- Sadly, Monica lost her battle with cancer. She is now in the arms of Jesus in heaven.
2018 Children Served
Power Wheelchair for Mobility
December 2018- Mina
resides at an orphanage in China and has some limitations in her mobility. Replacing her present wheelchair with a power chair will be transforming .. giving this sweet teen new freedom to get around. We extend appreciation to Hope's Heart partners who help provide this special gift for a special girl. Below are Mina in her old chair [left] and the new power chair [right].
UPDATE-
We rejoice in the successful surgeries for Daniella and Jeffrey. Both have been discharged from the hospital into the continued care of their caregivers. A brighter future is in store for them.
Hospitalization for Burn Treatment
October 2018-
As a reult of an unfortunate accident, a little boy named Kayden
was burned on part of his body. Thankfully, he was immediately taken to the hospital and is now receiving treatments. We're thankful to be able to join with others in supplying the funds needed for his hospital care. Your prayers are greatly appreciated.
November UPDATE:
Kayden has been discharged from the hospital following treatment. He will continue to heal back at the orphanage.
Update:
After evaluation and treatment, Harland has been released from the hospital into the care of healing home nannies. We will continue to support his care at the healing home.
Medical Care for Visually Impaired Orphans
September 2018-
A brand new outreach we have joined is medical intervention for visually impaired orphans. Through partnership with a well-established and exemplary organization dedicated to serving VI orphans, Hope's Heart desired to make a positive impact on the lives of these treasured little ones.
October UPDATE-
Thankfully, Palmer made it through surgery and his initial recovery. He was released at the end of October to continue recovery at a healing home.
October 2018 UPDATE-
We celebrate the success of Judah's surgery. Thanks to the donors who helped make it possible.
July UPDATE-
Back home with his nannies, Gage is building strength and energy after being in the hospital. He is eating and sleeping well and feeling much better as evident in his updated picture.
March UPDATE-
After a difficult journey, sweet Mya has been discharged from the hospital into healing home care.
May UPDATE-
Mya is doing well and gaining weight steadily. Doctors believe she doesn't need to have her heart repaired right now; and will continue with follow-up echoes.
May 2019 UPDATE-
We couldn't be happier to announce that beautiful Mya was adopted this month! She is now with her forever family.
February UPDATE-Following a successful surgery and initial recovery, Corine has been discharged back to the orphanage.
April UPDATE-From the recent picture below, you can see how wonderfully Corine's cleft lip repair has healed!
