The provision of medical attention can be life-changing and sometimes life-saving for an orphan. Hope's Heart strives to help orphans overcome physical challenges through surgeries, treatments and procedures, or equipment that will improve their quality of life.

Providing medical equipment or supplies such as medicines, walkers, wheel chairs and therapy tools to enhance health or mobility.
2019 Children Served 

Leg Braces
December 2019-Teens Randy and Enid will benefit greatly from specialized leg braces that  aid in their mobility. Their movement challenges are affected by cerebral palsy.
Hospital Medical Intervention
December 2019- Handsome little Dillon is hospitalized for medical intervention to help prepare him for surgery to correct a complex heart defect. Hope's Heart is honored to help assist with his medical costs to give him a change to heal.  
Medical Evaluation
September 2019- Young Jayson is receiving a medical evaluation to best determine treatment for possible hydrocephalus.
December UPDATE- Jayson was discharged to healing home care.  He is getting stronger every day and continues to delight his nannies with his big smile.
Customized Wheelchairs
September 2019- Customized wheelchairs are making a huge impact to meet the individual needs of orphans. Not only are they valuable to the child, but also the caregivers. Hope's Heart is grateful for this opportunity to provide wheelchairs that improve daily life for five children. 
Physical Therapy
September 2019- Meredith has begun receiving ongoing physical therapy to help improve her mobility. This sweet five-year-old will benefit so much, and we are anxious to hear how she improves.  
Medical Revision
September 2019- Ian is in need of revision surgery following a complication from a former surgery. We're grateful to join with others to help give Ian a new lease on life through financial support of his upcoming surgery.
November UPDATE- Ian came through surgery without complications, has been discharged from the hospital, and continues his recovery under the loving care of his foster parents.
Life Changing Cleft Surgery
September 2019- Cleft repair surgery, whether the lip or the palate, is life changing for children born with a cleft. It is our pleasure to help support the repairs of Finn, Ben, Kolby and Lisa.
November 2019- All four children had successful repairs.
Four Cleft Surgeries
July 2019- Changing a child's life and future brings with it satisfaction that can not be measured. This month four children received life changing surgeries... two cleft lip repairs and two cleft palate repairs. Join us in celebrating a brighter future for Rylan, Marley, Darien, and Lucy.
August UPDATE- All four children  had successful surgeries and are on the way to recovery and a brighter future.
The Gift of Surgery for Daniel
June 2019- Daniel was able to undergo a tendon release surgery which is expected to help with future walking and mobility. After casting and recovery, we expect Daniel to have greater freedom in movement. It's our honor to help provide his medical treatment.
September UPDATE- Daniel's foot is looking much better. He can now walk independently and his gait has improved! 
Walkers
March 2019- Something as simple as a walker can make a profound difference in a child's life. Doesn't Sam look overjoyed with his new walker that is giving him new hope for greater mobility?
 Cleft Lip Surgeries
March 2019- These two adorable little guys, Hartley and Theo, have received a life-altering cleft repair that will provide them better health and a promising future. 
Routine Medical Needs
January 2019- Orphan care requires the ongoing fulfillment of routine oversight like medications, eye drops, vaccinations and well check-ups. Hope's Heart is thankful for the opportunity to help fund some of these ongoing expenses for a group of visually impaired little ones.
Medical Treatment
January 2019- Sweet Monica has been receiving chemo treatments for a rare eye cancer. We are grateful for the opportunity to help fund some of her treatment.  
March UPDATE- Sadly, Monica lost her battle with cancer.  She is now in the arms of Jesus in heaven.
2018 Children Served 
Power Wheelchair for Mobility
December 2018- Mina resides at an orphanage in China and has some limitations in her mobility. Replacing her present wheelchair with a power chair will be transforming .. giving this sweet teen new freedom to get around. We extend appreciation to Hope's Heart partners who help provide this special gift for a special girl. Below are Mina in her old chair [left] and the new power chair [right].
Two Little Ones to Receive Cleft Palate Surgery
November 2018- Four year old Daniella and two year old Jeffrey are scheduled to receive surgery to repair their cleft palate later this month. This is the next step in healing [since receiving cleft lip surgery] for these two special children.
UPDATE- We rejoice in the successful surgeries for Daniella and Jeffrey. Both have been discharged from the hospital into the continued care of their caregivers. A brighter future is in store for them.
Hospitalization for Burn Treatment
October 2018- As a reult of an unfortunate accident, a little boy named Kayden was burned on part of his body. Thankfully, he was immediately taken to the hospital and is now receiving treatments. We're thankful to be able to join with others in supplying the funds needed for his hospital care. Your prayers are greatly appreciated.
November UPDATE: Kayden has been discharged from the hospital following treatment. He will continue to heal back at the orphanage.
Medical Evaluation
October 2018- Baby Harland was in need of a medical evaluation to determine the cause of fevers and often feeling ill. We're thankful to play a part in his healing.
Update: After evaluation and treatment, Harland has been released from the hospital into the care of healing home nannies. We will continue to support his care at the healing home.
Medical Care for Visually Impaired Orphans
September 2018- A brand new outreach we have joined is medical intervention for visually impaired orphans. Through partnership with a well-established and exemplary organization dedicated to serving VI orphans, Hope's Heart desired to make a positive impact on the lives of these treasured little ones. 
New Power Wheelchair
September 2018- Mobility is critical. Unfortunately, weak hands and a spinal condition have kept Brilynn from moving around. She was thrilled to receive the gift of a brand new power wheelchair. Now mobility is a reality for Brilynn.
Newborn Baby Needs Heart Surgery
August 2018- Baby Palmer was born this month with a serious heart defect. Once he is strong enough to undergo surgery, it will be arranged. Please keep this tiny one in your prayers.
October UPDATE- Thankfully, Palmer made it through surgery and his initial recovery. He was released at the end of October to continue recovery at a healing home.  
Cleft Lip Surgery 
August 2018- Cleft lip surgery is a life-altering procedure that is giving baby Judah hope for a healthier life and brighter future. Judah had surgery in mid-August. We can't wait to see his new smile!
October 2018 UPDATE- We celebrate the success of Judah's surgery. Thanks to the donors who helped make it possible.  
Eye Treatment/Surgery
July 2018- Sadly, it was determined that Monica has a rare eye cancer. She is receiving chemo treatments that will be followed by eye surgery. Please keep this sweet little girl in your prayers.
Heart Evaluation and Surgery 
May 2018- A congenital heart defect resulted in the critical need of a heart evaluation followed by surgery for baby Gage.  We are thankful he has recovered from surgery and the initial hospital recovery time and is now continuing recovery care at a healing home.
July UPDATE- Back home with his nannies, Gage is building strength and energy after being in the hospital. He is eating and sleeping well and feeling much better as evident in his updated picture.  
Surgery for Newborn Nina
March 2018-Abandoned within days following her birth,Ninahas been hospitalized for testing and evaluation to determine the best course of action for complex heart defects. In the meantime, she has successfully gone through anoplasty surgery.  
Critical Care and Surgery
January 2018- Newborn baby girl Mya required immediate hospitalization following her abandonment and finding. She is currently being treated and has undergone a life-saving surgery.
March UPDATE- After a difficult journey, sweet Mya has been discharged from the hospital into healing home care.
May UPDATE- Mya is doing well and gaining weight steadily. Doctors believe she doesn't need to have her heart repaired right now; and will continue with follow-up echoes.
May 2019 UPDATE- We couldn't be happier to announce that beautiful Mya was adopted this month! She is now with her forever family. 
Cleft Lip Surgery
January 2018- Corine will soon have the opportunity to have her cleft lip repaired. It's a joy to be part of her healing. 
February UPDATE-Following a successful surgery and initial recovery, Corine has been discharged back to the orphanage.
April UPDATE-From the recent picture below, you can see how wonderfully Corine's cleft lip repair has healed!
